Perinatal Massage uses the same pressure and techniques as a Swedish massage in the context of being pre/post partum. Patients in their first trimester may lie on their stomach if comfortable. Patients who are pregnant in their second and third trimester can expect to receive the treatment lying on their sides with lots of pillows tucked in for support. Massage can help support the well-being of both mama and baby as it can help a busy mama relax, ease pregnancy symptoms, and reduce swelling in the extremities.
